Student Discount Fares



There are a couple of ways for students to save money on Amtrak Calfornia travel. If you travel frequently or with another person, the multiple ride fares (ten ride tickets) offer deeply discounted ( approximately 40% off regular fares) fares and require no advance reservations.  They are not "blacked out" during peak holiday periods but must be used within a relatively short period of time.

Any student can save money on trains and other student necessities through Student Advantage.  By purchasing a Student Advantage Card, students are entitled to discounts on books, entertainment, meals  -- and a discount of 15 percent on all Amtrak travel.!
