On May 16, 1999 Perris became a stop on Amtrak California's feeder motor coach system to and from Amtrak California's  San Joaquin trains in Bakersfield which serve the San Joaquin Valley, the Bay Area, and the Sacramento Valley. Those same buses serve Hemet and Riverside on their way to/from the San Joaquin Valley.
