Placerville is a stop on the Amtrak Motor Coach service connecting trains at Sacramento with several locations along US 50. The terminus of this route is Carson City, NV. It also stops in South Lake Tahoe, and Stateline, NV.

THE PLACERVILLE STOP HAS MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION EAST OF DOWNTOWN AT THE "PLACERVILLE STATION" (MOSQUITO ROAD AND CLAY STREET).

Exit Highway 50 at "Mosquito Rd -- Broadway" and go north to Clay Street. This station is the transit hub for Placerville, but is not staffed by Amtrak. Neither Amtrak tickets, nor baggage or package express shipments are handled at this location. The nearest station offering those services is Sacramento.
