Redding actually has two Amtrak locations. Amtrak's Coast Starlight stops at the former Southern Pacific (now Union Pacific) Railroad tracks at 1620 Yuba Street. Amtrak Motor Coaches linking Redding to Sacramento, for connections on the Capitols and the San Joaquins use the new Intermodal Terminal, 1650 Yuba St.

Redding is an unstaffed stop. Neither tickets, baggage, nor package express shipments are handled at this location. Tickets may be purchased from an Amtrak travel agent, over the telephone from Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) or over the Internet from Amtrak's home page, http://tickets.amtrak.com.

The Redding stop for Amtrak California Motor Coaches connecting Redding to Amtrak trains in Sacramento (Capitols) and Stockton (San Joaquins) is directly across the tracks from the train station in the new Redding Intermodal Terminal. 1560 Yuba St. Passengers must enter the Terminal, however, from Yuba or Tehama Streets, and not cross the tracks from the railroad station.
